Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 4, 2026
Regal Nails, Salon & Spa (“we”, “our salon”) takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights available to you. It is adopted in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.
This is a translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the French version of this policy prevails.
1. Person in charge of the protection of personal information
The management of Regal Nails, Salon & Spa acts as the person in charge of the protection of personal information. You may reach them with any question about this policy or to exercise your rights:
- By mail: Management — Person in charge of the protection of personal information, Regal Nails, Salon & Spa, 5400 Jean-Talon St W, Montreal, QC H4P 2T5
- By phone: (514) 737-8998
- By e-mail: office@regalnailsmontreal.ca
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Booking information — your name, phone number, e-mail address, the service selected, the date and time of your appointment, and any notes you provide when booking.
- Service-related information — what you tell us about allergies, sensitivities or particular conditions, where that is necessary to perform the service safely, as well as your service history.
- Information you send us directly — when you call, write to us, or contact us through social media.
- Technical information — when you visit this site, our host automatically records certain connection data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) for security and for the proper operation of the site.
We do not collect sensitive information beyond what is necessary to perform the service, and we never ask for banking details by e-mail.
3. Why we use your information
We use your personal information only to:
- schedule, confirm, change or cancel your appointments;
- send you reminders and messages related to your visit;
- perform the service safely and appropriately for your situation;
- process payment and issue the required records;
- answer your questions, requests and comments;
- keep our website secure, maintained and improved;
- meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not use your information for other purposes without informing you and, where the law requires it, without obtaining your consent.We do not sell or rent your personal information.
4. Your consent
By booking an appointment and providing your information, you consent to our using it for the purposes described above. That consent is given freely and on an informed basis, for specific purposes, and lasts for as long as necessary to fulfil those purposes.
You may withdraw your consent at any time using the contact details in section 1. Withdrawal is not retroactive and may prevent us from providing certain services — for example, we cannot manage an appointment without your contact details.
5. Cookies and tracking technologies
This site uses no audience-measurement, advertising or profiling cookies. Only technologies strictly necessary for the site to work are used. Should we ever enable such tools, they would not be activated by default: we would ask for your prior consent through a banner, and this policy would be updated.
The booking module embedded in this site is provided by an external partner and may set the cookies needed for its own operation (keeping your booking session active). Fonts and images are hosted on our own domain; no request is made to an external content delivery network for that purpose.
6. Sharing your information with third parties
Your information is shared only with those who need it for the purposes described in section 3: members of our team, and suppliers acting on our behalf, namely:
- Our online booking provider (Blushy) — to take, confirm and manage your appointments.
- Our web host — to serve and secure this site.
These suppliers are bound by written agreements limiting their use of the information to the purposes for which we entrust it to them. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, at the request of a competent authority, or to assert our rights.
7. Information stored outside Quebec
Some of our suppliers may store or process your information outside Quebec, including elsewhere in Canada, in the European Union or in the United States. Before any such transfer we carry out a privacy impact assessment to satisfy ourselves that the information will receive adequate protection, and we enter into a written agreement to that effect. Information stored abroad may be subject to the laws of the country where it is located.
8. Retention and destruction
We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or for the period required by law where a legal, tax or accounting obligation applies. Once those purposes are fulfilled and the legal periods have elapsed, the information is securely destroyed or anonymised according to generally accepted practices.
9. Security
We take reasonable physical, organisational and technological measures to protect your information against loss, theft and unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. The site is served over HTTPS, access to records is limited to those who need it, and our tools are protected by individual credentials. As no system is infallible, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights
The law grants you the following rights:
- Access — to confirm whether we hold information about you and to receive a copy of it.
- Correction — to have inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected, or information collected without authorisation deleted.
- Withdrawal of consent — to stop consenting, at any time, to the use or disclosure of your information.
- Portability — to receive the computerised information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used technological format, or to have it transferred to a third party.
- De-indexing — to request that dissemination of information cease, or that a hyperlink giving access to it be de-indexed, on the conditions provided by law.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us using the details in section 1. We may ask for identification to confirm it is really you. We respond in writing within 30 days of receiving your request. Our responses are free of charge, apart from reasonable fees for transcription, reproduction or transmission, the amount of which would be given to you in advance.
11. Information concerning minors
We do not knowingly collect personal information concerning a person under 14 without the consent of the holder of parental authority or of the tutor, except where collection is clearly for that person's benefit. Appointments for a child under 14 must be booked by a parent or guardian.
12. Confidentiality incidents
In the event of a confidentiality incident (unauthorised access, use or disclosure, or loss of personal information), we promptly take reasonable measures to limit the consequences and to prevent a recurrence. Where the incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the individuals concerned, and the incident is entered in our register.
13. Questions and complaints
Any complaint about how we handle your personal information can be sent to us using the details in section 1. We acknowledge receipt, review it, and give you our conclusions in writing along with any measures taken.
If our response does not satisfy you, you may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec:
